Paint Therapy

Well I hope everyone had a very happy holiday! We had a great holiday with my husbands family. Santa was very good to us as well :)

Well we started on the future baby's room. We got everything primed on Thursday and got it painted yesterday. Blue on the bottom, yellow on the top. I also ordered the bedding since we based the paint on it i wanted to make sre that it was available. We are not going to buy any furniture or anything but it feels really good to see the room painted. It gives me hope to see the bright cheery colors.

We contacted our agency earlier this week and changed our preference to 100% hispanic. We had 50% previously but about 60% of the adoptions done by our agency are full hispanic so we are hoping this will improve our odds. I am feeling hopeful that we will get a match soon.

I am going to try to post a picture of the bedding so you can see it.

Just wanted to say how PRECIOUS your nursery is going to be! I have really enjoyed reading your blog! Stay encouraged...it will definitely happen for you as long as you don't give up!

I love the colours!! Just lovely. Did you put a chair rail in or border to separate the two colours?

Keep your eye out for that special crib and cot because it will surely pop up! We got ours on a clearance price after stumbling on to it at JC Penny's. It was the single best day of the year when it was assembled and our
baby's room
was with out a doubt our nursery instead of a room "set aside".

Frances, thanks so much for saying you like the colours! Yes we did put up a chair rail (just finished last night) The bedding also came in teh mail yesterday and I LOVE it. We still have to put up the crown molding and then paint teh exisiting baseboards, trim and closet doors and then we will be done! Should be done this weekend!!! It feels really good and the room is going to be so cute and cheery, I can't wait!!!

I do have a crib picked out, but we probably won't buy it until we have a match or the baby is home
