I have been meaning to post about this since last week I just haven't had time to sit down and get it out.
Last Thursday (Izzy's b-day) I went with my girlfriends to see the movie Juno. What a wonderful movie. It is funny, heartwarming and made me cry. It is about a teenage girl who gets pg and gives the baby up for a private adoption. It was a very full circle day for me when I saw the movie because right before I left, C, Izzy's Bm called me to wish Izzy a happy b-day and see how she was doing. It has been a long time since I have spoken with her, and it was so nice. It sounds like her and the birthfather are doing really well and I felt so much love for them. Words can't even express how I feel about these two amazing people. I am so glad she called and it was so nice to talk to her. I really really really hope they stay in touch over the years.
I made them a book on Shutterfly of Izzy's first year and I am waiting to receive it so I can get it out to the agency. I hope they like it. They sent Izzy a b-day present of some really cute clothes and socks which was so nice.
Anyway back to the movie, I really think all you adoptive and non adoptive parents that read my blog should go see it. It is fairly accurate when it comes to adoption, some of it is a little hollywood but it is a wonderful movie and I think it puts adoption in a great light!

I'm so glad to read that you liked it. I'm still nervous to go see it because I feel so sensitive to the media's portrayal of adoption. But, if it's very positive, I'll have to go! :)
What a great gift to send to Izzy's birthfamily, too!
