Well I had a fanatastic weekend, for the most part....it started with Dh coming home and handing me $500 cash and tell me to go buy myself new clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He got a unexpected bonus at work and knows how badly i need new clothes...HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!! I went shopping on Sunday and will talk more about that in a few....
Well Saturday night we went to the Red Wings play off game with my dad and my coworker (works with me and my dad) it was a BLAST. I love hockey and had never been to a play off game. The atmosphere was amazing, and they won 4-0! So fun.........until while we were walking back to my car and I notice my phone no longer in my purse.......yes it had fallen out in my seat (b/c i had used it a few time during game) and i didnt' double check my seat before leaving. This is a HUGE bummer for me! The lost numbers, the lost pictures and the lost phone! I had only had the phone for a year and a found out yesterday that the way my contract is set up with Verizon I am basically going to have to pay a ridiculous price for a new phone because I wasn't due for an upgrade until november. So basically i am screwed, they don't make the phone i had anymore (which i like, and was expensive) and the cheapest price I could find on something comparable was $180 with a $50 rebate!!!!!!!!!!! I want to cry!! So much for having all this money for clothes shopping! My other option is to take my chances and buy one off e-bay(which i am learily of) and be without a phone until I get it. I checked e-bay and it looks like my same phone is available for $60 or so, but thye they ship it to me and Verizon charges me $10 to activate it...and if by chance it happens to be a phone that was lost/stolen or has a balance on it...they won't activate it. So what to do?? All I know is I feel TOTALLY lost without a cell phone and hate driving knowing if i got in an acident or something happened i didn't have one...and to think just 10-15 years ago most people didn't even have one! So i don't know what to do but I have beaten myself up too much i suppose. I need to suck it up and take my medicine...oh and I did call the arena and no one turned it in....shocking!
On a positive note, I went to the mall yesterday, by myself and did some shopping...something I never do! I felt a little like pretty woman...only much less money to spend. I also felt overwhelmed.... i needed work clothes and some casual clothes and limited money spend. I ended up doing most of my shopping at Ann Taylor Loft and New York & Co and I must say ..everythign i got was on sale with a couple of exceptions and I think I got quite a bit for my $. I didn't spend all my money, I still hav $150 left and desperately need new bras and one would like another pair of work pants or a skirt...I did a TON of trying on.... a ridiculous amount actually ( i was at the mall almost 4 hrs!) but i really didn' tknow what size i was. I am VERY happy to report that all of the pants I bought were a size 6!!!! and one was a 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly cannot remember the last time I have ever been a 6. High school, the early years of high school!!! So that did give me a bright spot in teh shadow of my phone loss.....
