Well, we had a fantastic holiday weekend that was jam packed with family gatherings. My younger brother was in town and so was my cousin from DC. Friday was the only non crazy day, Saturday we had dinner at my parents for a late passover, Sunday morning we went to church and then had brunch at DH's parents house, which included an easter egg hunt for izzy, then Sunday night we went to my grandparents for more passover food with my brother...I love passover food but i have to say I think I am matzo balled out!!! Izzy did great with all of this running around and was very pleased with all the goodies she recieved from the Easter bunny.
I decided NOT to take her binky away this weekend for 2 reasons. 1, i didn't want to scar her from the Easter bunny (although i think he is kinda creepy myself) and 2, DH asked the dentist on friday if we should be concerned and he said no, if that was what comforts her and she sleeps well than he didn't think that her having the binky at night/nap was going to do her any harm...so we will keep it a bit longer.
It was so fun to see izzy on teh easter egg hunt this year, last year she didn't really get it and needed alot of help but this year she was skipping everywhere..i got some good video but haven't had time to edit it yet.
In our easter basket izzy got some candy, a new "pinky ball", Coloring/sticker books, new duck family for the bath, new hot wheel car, bubbles, and a gardening set. She seemed pretty pleased with it all included the jelly beans and chocolate. In grandma/grandpa's easter egg hunt every egg was filled with fruit snacks so I think i have enough fruit snacks to last several months....they also got her a very cool dora tricyle that she seemed to like even though she can't quite reach the peddles....all in all a very successful holiday!!!!!
